The “Conversations at Briarwood” series seeks to explore key questions and issues at the intersection of theological and political commitments. The series has addressed topics as diverse as the Movement for Black Lives, racial inequities exposed by American responses to the Covid-19 pandemic, Latino/a/x identity, Liberation Theology, and North American Indigenous (American Indian and Canadian First Nations) experience. In preparation for the 2020 US general election, “Conversations at Briarwood” sought to host meaningful dialogue between American Christians on various points on theological and political spectrums. Check back for future conversations focused on a variety of topics. “Conversations at Briarwood” provides an important opportunity for Briarwood Leadership Center to foster meaningful engagement throughout northern Texas and beyond. We hope you’ll join us!
Briarwood has been blessed by a variety of voices throughout these leadership discussions. Each speaker who is brought in is highly trained in their field and, along with the help of Dr. Rev. Robert O. Smith, facilitates open and exciting conversation.
